Hello everyone!
After our first day here in Cambridge, we have to say that we are very happy with our students, because they are very cooperative!! :) Not only that... They even gave us a great surprise in the morning: when we arrived at the cabin, they had already set the table and prepared breakfast for everyone! Well done, guys! Thank you!!!!!!! :)

While having breakfast, the students learnt a new idiom just from observing nature: "The early bird catches the worm", in Spanish: "A quien madruga, Dios le ayuda".

After that, we headed for the library. There, our students created their blogs, in which they are going to tell everything happening here during these three weeks. Besides, they started their diary, in which they have to explain the daily communicative situations like: things they heard, things they said, things they read, things they wrote and a personal glossary which includes they new vocabulary words they learn.
Once everyone finished, we had our packed lunch. Having packed lunch is very typical here in the United Kingdom, and everyone is used to eating out. For this reason, they have huge parks, which you can use to have lunch, relax or do sports, unless it is raining...
After a bit of free time, the cultural activity today was a TOUR AROUND CAMBRIDGE! Claudia was a great tourist guide and she explained everything about the city of Cambridge and its colleges to the students. They looked very interested!

After such an interesting activity, students could enjoy some free time for having a look throughout King's Parade, one of the main and most touristic streets in Cambridge.
Then, we took the bus and went home. The cooking team got ready and prepared some salad and delicious chicken with roquefort sauce! Congratulations, guys!
Finally, we started to organise our theme night: Scrapbooking. Students chose the materials for creating it and decided on the sections that it could have.
This was a relaxing way of ending the day, and Claudia and I could realise how creative they are! We're impressed :)
