After a long plane journey, we finally arrived safe and
sound in Cambridge, where Claudia was waiting for us to walk us into our nice
guest house so that we could finally go to bed to rest.

Since today
it was Sunday, we had quite a relaxing day. We started off our day having
breakfast in the sun in our little garden.

After
lecturing the students about these three weeks, we took the bus to town and
went to the tourist information office. There, every student had to ask for
information about what to do and see in Cambridge and everyone successfully
completed the challenge!

Straight
after that, we all went to the Grand Arcade, the shopping centre in which the
library lies, to get the library cards and choose a book for our English book
club.

After
talking to the second native person of the day, we let the students have some
free time to explore the city on their own or do some shopping. Once we finally
met, we all head for the supermarket so that the students could do their first
grocery shopping in the UK! It must be said that they all did quite a good job
finding the best deals.
Having
bought our big shopping, we took the bus back home and, after some rest, the
cooking team started making dinner. The result was a nice first dinner where
the kids laughed remembering all the events experienced during the day.

Finally,
once the washing up team was ready, we all played a fun characters game in
English and students had a great time!
Well, this
is all for today! Tomorrow the hard work will start!
Hey! It's great to see you in action. I like all the photos and Avimore house seems really nice.
ReplyDeleteYou are a lucky team because the weather is treating you quite well.
Pilar :)
By the way, yesterday was 5th of august. jeje!!
ReplyDeleteAnd one more thing: you need a cook hat to get aroung the kitchen. It will give a lot of colour and enjoyment to your picures and it prevents you from eating hair. jeje
Just a piece of advice!
jajajaja, good idea! :)
