10th, 11th & 12th - WHAT A NICE WEEKEND!

Hello everyone!

This is our first weekend here in Cambridge, and there are so many adventures to tell!

On Friday morning we went to the library and students did their homework (blogs, diaries and magazine). After lunch, they had some free time, and then we headed for Anglia Ruskin University, for our Taekwondo lesson with Kian, the instructor. Here are some funny pictures about this interesting activity:

It was a great and energizing activity, but in the end we were exhausted. Since our students had had a great behaviour during the week, the teachers thought that they deserved something special! So we decided to have a typical British picnic with sausage rolls, scotch eggs, beef pasties... We had a good time in Parker's Piece.

After this relaxing moment, we went to Andy's to have some fun playing games, listening to live music and meet new international people.

Finally, we went back home. We were so tired that we went to bed. It was a quite exciting day!

On Saturday, we were going to visity Ely, which is a town near Cambridge. But before that, we had full English breakfast at home! We had fried eggs, baked beans, mushrooms, toast, bacon... Absolutely delicious, but a bit filling as well :P

Guys, are you hungry?
Afterwards, we headed for the station and we took the train to Ely! When we arrived there, we went to the tourist information office, and students had a special task: they had to gather information about the town and decide on a route. They did a great job, have a look!

Where is the tourist information office?
Welcome to Ely!
Going to the tourist office... can you see the cathedral?

Then, we needed some rest, so we went to a big park from which you could see the cathedral, and even some ponys!

When we had charged our batteries, we continued with our walk through Ely. We visited the river side and we could see many narrow boats!

Then, our students were very interested in doing a boat trip along the river, so we booked it and so we could enjoy a relaxing trip, with beautiful views and a perfect weather!

Finally, we went back home, had dinner and went to sleep :)

On Sunday it was our day off! Students planned their day and at night they told us many adventures and new places they visited!

We had some delicious pizzas for dinner and got ready for our nocturnal adventure! We wanted to see the star shower! So we went to a Natural Reserve on foot, and we could see some shooting stars! It was an awesome activity for finishing the last day of our first week here in Cambridge!

See you tomorrow!!!! :)
