13th August - BRITISH OR AMERICAN?

Hello everyone!

Today we changed our usual routine quite a lot. Since we had stayed up till 3 in the morning due to the adventure we had the night before, we decided to change the schedule a bit as a gift for the students. Instead of going to the library, we let them sleep for a bit longer and work at home.

Once they had worked for some time, we went to town and had lunch before taking the bus to the American Cemetery. This is a very special place where thousands of American soldiers from the Second World War are buried or commemorated. When we arrived, a nice man told us some historical facts and then students had to fill in a worksheet with some questions about the cemetery and the famous names on the wall of the missing.

Everyone ready!

Back in Cambridge, students were given a budget to buy some things we needed, which they had to do on their own, while the teachers did the main grocery shopping.

Once at home, we stored everything and got ready for cooking! The menu was "Cuban rice" with eggs and sausages. Concha and Luis fried eggs for the first time! :)

When we finished, we started our theme night: Scrapbook. During this time, everyone let their imagination flow, and the teachers could observe how creative they are!!!! Very good job!!!!

See you tomorrow! :)
